90 day challenge day 3

I love the story of Jacob wrestling with God!! it seems to me that we don't really know who we are or what we need to do until we wrestle with God!!! Wrestle away, i hope you are enjoying this as much as I am!!!

90 day challenge day 2

The stories of Abraham, Issac and Jacob are very interesting in today's world , why don't we hear God speak like they did? or don't we listen?

I pray that as you take on this challenge that God opens you heart and allows you time to listen to him.

90 day challenge day 1

Day 1 down , creation ,fall, floods and towers. Where will today take us ?

CAN YOU HANDLE THE TRUTH?

Have you ever completed an extremely difficult task and at the end of it  felt richer for the struggle? 

Can you handle a challenge? 
Do you have what it takes to complete a monumental task?

Then join us as we take the "90 DAY BIBLE CHALLENGE" it only takes 1/2hr a day for 90 days and you will be able to boast that you have read the Bible from cover to cover!!!

Read whatever version you like NIV, ESV, RSV, NRSV,  CEV, NLT, KJV, NKJV, Message or any other but as the saying goes JUST DO IT!!!! Pick up a schedule at church or ask me to email it to you we will be discussing it here and posting comments etc about what we are discovering.

Get with a group to encourage each other to complete this task. and remember DON'T GIVE UP!!!  if you miss a section and fall off the wagon get back on , it is better to read most of the Bible that none of it (you can always go back to those passages later)

The challenge starts Monday 9th of May and ends Saturday 6th of August. Gods word has the power to move us to do great things.

Mens Meat "N" Movie night

Come and eat some meat, be challenged by a movie and join in a challenge for all MEN of the church.
Thursday 5th of May 6.00pm until late.

Cost of the food is $10 but don't let lack of funds put you off from coming!
This event is too important to miss!!!!!!!

Our movie licence does not allow us to promote the title but just ask and we will tell you (it is not child friendly so Men only)

Ladies please encourage your men to attend, this could be potentially life changing!

Lent

Ash wednesday is coming up on march 9 (the official start day of Lent) who would like to join me in giving something up for Lent (which are the 40 days before Easter)

God Next Door

I have read this book a couple of times and have found it quite inspiring. here is a video of the author discussing the importance of doing mission where we are.
