Our Service

What to expect on any given Sunday.

We are a casual bunch here so it is rare to see suits and ties.  Shorts and thongs are common but come as you are.

We begin our worship service at 10 am.

We rotate our worship leading through various volunteers in the congregation, therefore the song selection and style varies each week. We incorporate contemporary worship music from a variety of sources however we sometimes  also include hymns from our rich history of worship music.

Part of our worship each week includes an offering which acknowledges how much God has given to us. We return a small portion back, for him to use through us in the local community. This is an important part of worship to us as members and attenders of the Copper Coast Baptist Church. However as a visitor please do not feel compelled to give.

As part of our service, almost every week we celebrate communion (Eucharist, Lord's Supper) in remembrance of what Jesus did for us and as a chance to recommit ourselves to his service afresh. Everyone who loves Jesus is welcome to take part and we encourage parents to help explain the meaning of the elements to the children who are also welcome to take part.

We spend time sharing opportunities for prayer and support with one another.

We incorporate a message from scripture in our service and during this time the children go out to the Children's Ministry which is supervised by experienced and well trained leaders in a child-safe environment. (During the school holidays the children stay in the service with us).

The whole service wraps up around 11.30 am with a time of fellowship over tea and coffee. Once a month we also share a meal together after the service - this usually falls on the last Sunday of the month however we sometimes shift the date for special occasions.

If you are here on holidays or looking for a local church to attend we hope you feel welcome, blessed and loved by God's people of the Copper Coast Baptist Church.

We look forward to your visit.
